“The insurance sector is much better than its reputation”

I´ve been doing this job for more than 35 years. Besides all the positive moments and encounters, I am also confronted again and again with the negative side of our industry image. I say that the insurance sector is much better than its reputation! This is because a negative perception is often not the result of the insurance companies’ unwillingness to pay out on a claim. The problem, in many cases, is that the contracts do not allow it more easily. My aim is therefore to exclude these misunderstandings from the outset and to include all eventualities 360 °.

The most important activities of our industry therefore include a whole series of tasks that I take on with pleasure and responsibility at DVM: A proper risk analysis of the situation to be insured.  A clear agreement on the risks and contents to be insured. Picking up risk-relevant information and circumstances. The correct quantification of the insurance sums or values. And last but not least, the information or knowledge of contractual obligations. When all the required information is included in an insurance contract, nothing stands in the way of a damage or benefit claim regulation which is according to expectations. This is my aspiration.
